  Hakone is the oldest Japanese and Asian estate gardens in the Western Hemisphere, established in 1915. This small garden is one of the prime land marks by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. It is an authentic replica of Japanese Samurai or Shogun’s estate garden, designed by one
of descendent of the imperial gardening family members. A tranquil place
of peace and harmony.

  Bloomsbury is located in the Carriage House of the charming Castro Lodge Estate, built in 1860. In keeping with the spirit of a more traditional English Tea Room, we offer English ambience with home-made taste. Using only the finest loose leaf teas from around the world, we try to provide each of our guests with a memorable cup of tea. Included in every Tea are warm scones fresh from our ovens with home-made lemon curd and Devonshire cream.

SWANTON BERRY FARM

  The Swanton Ranch property borders Hwy 1, and is the site of the farm stand, kitchen, various barns & a large shop. Guests are invited to the ranch to hand pick their own berries, shop for homemade jams or purchase some fresh strawberry shortcake. This ranch also has a number of interesting features, including a sand dune populated with un-disturbed native species, and a reservoir that is home to migratory birds, newts, and numerous other creatures.
