  Clairmont Farms is a charming family owned and operated lavender farm located in the Santa Ynez Valley wine country.  In addition to their breathtaking fields, you will find a complete line of of lavender based personal care products as well as essential oils. Visitors are welcome to attend distiller demonstrations stroll through the fields, have a picnic and shop in the boutique located next to the fields.  Daily: 10:00 am - 6:00pm

  What do tulips, robins, and kites have in common? They're some of the first signs of spring, of course. Kites! Those brightly colored shapes dancing in the sky signal the end of winter and the beginning of warmer weather. While many of us think kite flying is something to do only in the spring, real kite enthusiasts know that any season is a good one in which to fly a kite and there is no better place than the beaches of California.

  Nojoqui Falls is a jewel of Santa Barbara County that is relatively unknown  to visitors of the area. The falls are best viewed after rains, however a walk through the park is beautiful at any time of year. Walking the short trail to view the falls makes what is already a lovely setting even more memorable. The small breeding population of Purple Martins that inhabit the park in spring and summer is also a treat and can be found in the sycamores near the entrance of the park. 8am- Sunset: daily

  Spring is a time for birds, bees, flowers and trees and a visit to OstrichLand allows you to visit some rare and unique, not to mention, Large birds!
The highlight is the extraordinary opportunity to feed the ostriches and
emus however you can also browse the gift shop in search goodies and farm fresh ostrich eggs as well as fresh emu eggs (available during the winter/spring season). Ostrichland is open daily however, operating
hours change frequently. Best to check hours before your visit.

TEA TIME AT PENELOPE'S TEA & GIFTS

  During spring, there is nothing more charming than an afternoon tea. Penelope's Tea and gifts is a quaint American tearoom with a decidedly British influence. Furnished with antiques, the tearoom is decorated in a comfortable non-fussy Victorian manner. Penelope's Afternoon Tea offers a starter course; tea sandwiches; a warm scone with lemon curd, clotted cream, and jam; and a delightful dessert selection.
