  The Point Cabrillo Light station is located in California State Historic Park encompassed by 270 acres of undeveloped coastal bluffs and prairie. Visitors to the park enjoy tours of the light station, entry to the Light Keepers Museum and views of  the fascinating tide pool aquarium. During the first & third weekends in March visitors are treated to best whale watching on the Mendocino Coast. *Please be aware, there is 1/2 mile trek from the parking area to the light station.

GLASS BEACH

  In the early 20th century, Fort Bragg residents discarded their household garbage over the scenic cliffs and onto the sandy beaches. They disposed
of glass, appliances, and even cars referring to the land as "The Dumps." Over the next several decades the pounding waves cleansed the beach, wearing down the discarded glass into small, smooth, colored trinkets which cover these shores off Fort Bragg today.
